Doosan Infracore to Acquire Ingersoll-Rand's Bobcat Unit for $4.9 Billion

(Bloomberg) -- Doosan Infracore Co., South Korea's
largest maker of construction machinery, agreed to buy Ingersoll-
Rand Co.'s Bobcat and other units for $4.9 billion, the biggest
overseas acquisition by a South Korean company.

The company will buy the Bobcat compact-equipment unit,
and the Utility Equipment and Attachments divisions, Incheon,
South Korea-based Doosan Infracore said in an e-mailed statement
today. Ingersoll-Rand has its headquarters in Bermuda.

Randgold to upgrade Ivorian mine, seeks output rise

(Reuters) - African miner Randgold Resources expects to upgrade planned production at its new mine in Ivory Coast, helping the firm to boost output by over 50 percent by 2011, its chief executive said on Thursday.

The firm, currently operating two mines in Mali, plans to ramp up production to around 650,000 ounces a year by 2011 from 400,000 ounces currently, CEO Mark Bristow told a presentation.

Firstrand raised $699 mln in Euro bond issue

(Reuters) - South African banking and financial services group FirstRand has raised 5 billion rand through its euro medium term notes (EMTN) programme from European capital markets, it said on Monday.

FirstRand said the issue was placed with 41 investors in 16 different countries and priced 50 basis points over the euro three month rate.

AT&T says 40 pct of iPhone inquirers not its clients

(Reuters) - CHICAGO, June 19 - About 40 percent of people seeking information about Apple Inc.'s soon-to-be-released iPhone are not AT&T Inc.'s wireless customers, the phone company's Chief Executive Randall Stephenson said on Tuesday.



AT&T has an exclusive agreement to sell the eagerly anticipated device that combines a cell phone with the popular iPod digital music player.
