REFILE-No EADS cap hike needed now-German govt official

(Reuters) - BERLIN, July 16 - No capital increase is needed at
aerospace and defence group EADS in the short term,
German government aerospace coordinator Peter Hintze said on
Monday.




Germany and France wanted to discuss the group's
shareholding structure further, Hintze said, adding that EADS'
financial situation was good to very good.

CORRECTION: France hopes to get EADS deal

(Reuters) - PARIS/BERLIN - France hopes to be able to announce an agreement about a simplified management structure for European defense group EADS at a summit meeting on Monday, but Germany is in no hurry to strike a deal.




"We have not finished yet," an official at the Elysee presidential palace said on Sunday. "But we are rather optimistic about the outcome of our discussions with Daimler, Lagardere and the German state," he added.

AIRSHOW-EADS seeks to prove itself as a "normal company"

(Reuters) - The call from French and German executives came on the eve
of the Paris Air Show, where French President Nicolas Sarkozy is
expected to set out his vision for European aerospace amid
doubts over the future of a sensitive EADS shareholder pact.




EADS has been plagued by disagreements between French and
German shareholders, politicians and staff over output delays at
Airbus, which contributed to 10,000 job cuts and slowed down
Europe's largest industrial project, the A380 superjumbo.
