Asian Stocks Fall From a Record; Samsung, Hon Hai Lead Technology Losses

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks fell, dragging a
regional benchmark from a record, as a slide in technology
shares countered gains in energy-related companies.

Samsung Electronics Co., which ended last week at a 15-
month high, plunged the most in three years after memory-chip
prices fell. Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., the world's largest
contract electronics manufacturer, slid the most in four months
after a newspaper said it may buy a stake in LG.Philips LCD Co.

Asian Stocks Are Little Changed Near Record; Woodside Gains, Samsung Drops

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks were little changed as
gains in energy-related shares, driven by crude oil prices
trading near an 11-month high, offset concern that a recent
technology rally more than reflects industry earnings prospects.

Woodside Petroleum Ltd., Australia's second-largest oil and
gas producer, and Keppel Corp., the world's No. 1 builder of oil
rigs, rose. Samsung Electronics Co. fell the most in a year
after memory-chip prices posted the biggest drop in two weeks.

South Korea's Kospi Index Advances; Chipmakers Rise, LG Household Falls

(Bloomberg) -- South Korean stocks advanced for a
sixth day. Samsung Electronics Co. and Hynix Semiconductor Inc.
rose after chipmakers raised prices of computer memory.

LG Household & Health Care Ltd. fell after the company said
it's in exclusive talks to buy Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd.'s bottling
unit in Korea for as much as A$545 million ($467 million).

South Korean Stocks Gain More Than 1 Percent for Fourth Day; Samsung Gains

(Bloomberg) -- South Korean stocks advanced more than
1 percent for a fourth day. Samsung Electronics Co. gained on
speculation prices for dynamic random access memory, or DRAM,
will rise, helping improve earnings.

LG.Philips LCD Co. advanced after brokerages including
Citigroup Inc. said the company will turn to profit in the second
quarter.

Asian Stocks Advance to a Record; Samsung Electronics, BHP Billiton Gain

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rose for a sixth day,
lifting a regional benchmark to a record, on signs of increasing
demand for computer chips and metals.

Samsung Electronics Co. jumped after a brokerage report
raised speculation that prices for dynamic random access memory,
or DRAM, will climb, boosting profit. BHP Billiton Ltd. and Rio
Tinto Group advanced on higher metals prices.

Asian Stocks Gain on Yen, U.S. Economy; Toyota Rises, China Reaches Record

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rose for a third day,
led by exporters, after the yen weakened and a report showed
inflation slowed in the U.S.

Samsung Electronics Co. and Toyota Motor Corp. led
technology companies and automakers higher. BHP Billiton Ltd.
climbed to a third straight record after metals prices advanced.
Five of the region's benchmarks jumped to records, with China's
CSI 300 Index adding 3.2 percent.
