ICI, Sainsbury, Morgan Sindall, Standard Life: U.K., Irish Stock Preview

(Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may rise or fall
in U.K. and Irish markets today. Stock symbols are in parentheses
and prices are from yesterday's market close.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index lost 76.00, or 1.2 percent, to
6224.30. The FTSE All-Share Index declined 34.49, or 1.1 percent,
to 3223.84.

Vattenfall Prolongs Maintenance Shutdown by Six Days at Forsmark Reactor

(Bloomberg) -- Vattenfall AB, the Nordic region's
biggest utility, said its Forsmark B2 nuclear reactor will be
shut down for maintenance work six days longer than previously
reported.

The reactor, with a maximum capacity of 1,000 megawatts,
will be off until Aug. 23 instead of Aug. 17, Forsmark Kraftgrupp
AB said today in a statement distributed by the Nord Pool ASA
power exchange. The Forsmark nuclear plant is located on Sweden's
east coast, north of Stockholm.

US jobs data hit stocks, dollar, boost bonds

(Reuters) - Stocks and the dollar fell while safe-haven government bonds rallied on Friday after weaker-than-expected U.S. jobs data fanned concerns about a U.S. economy already struggling with credit liquidity fears.

U.S. stock futures pointed to a weaker open on Wall Street while European stocks moved deeper in negative territory after data showed U.S. employers boosted payrolls in July at the slowest pace since February, adding 92,000 jobs.

BA profit rise beats forecasts, warns on revenues

(Reuters) - LONDON, Aug 3 - British Airways posted a 28 percent rise in quarterly operating profit on Friday to beat analysts' forecasts, but warned a weak dollar and soaring fuel prices would slow full-year revenue growth and raise costs.



Earnings before interest and taxes for the three months to end-June rose to 263 million pounds , BA said in a statement to the London Stock Exchange.

Cache, Dow Jones, Faro, Gymboree, RAIT Financial: U.S. Equity Movers

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares are having unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges.
Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names. Share
prices are as of 2:40 p.m. in New York.

Aftermarket Technology Corp. (ATAC US) rose the most since
August 2001, jumping $4.84, or 18 percent, to $31.33. The car-
parts maker increased its 2007 forecast, saying it expects to
earn $1.55 to $1.70 a share. The company earlier predicted profit
of as much as $1.55.

Amazon.com, Brown Shoe, Deckers, NetGear, Rambus: U.S. Equity Preview

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares may have unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges
tomorrow. This preview includes news that broke after exchanges

Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN US): Shares of the world's biggest
online retailer are too expensive after this past week's
increase, and expansion plans threaten its profit margins,
Barron's said, citing no one. Amazon stock rose 3 cents to
$84.04 on July 27.

RPT-Bay Street Week Ahead - Offshore sirens beckon

(Reuters) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 29 - As foreign
takeovers and private equity buyouts strip the Toronto Stock
Exchange of some of its biggest names, institutional investors
are increasingly shifting their gaze outside Canada.




Those investors with mandates to invest domestically, such
as "pure" Canadian mutual funds, say they might at some point
ask their fundholders to let them rejig their limits so that
they too can follow their peers to greater choice offshore.

Crocs, Compuware, Kyphon, NBTY, Netgear, Synchronoss: U.S. Equity Movers

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares are having unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges.
Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names. Share
prices are as of 1:10 p.m. in New York.

Building Materials Holding Corp. (BLG US) rose $2.65, or 22
percent, to $14.65. The provider of building services and
materials said that, excluding some items, it earned 47 cents a
share in the second quarter. Five analysts in a Bloomberg survey
on average estimated 6 cents, on average.

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares are having unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges.

Crocs Inc. (CROX US) rose $4.66, or 9.2 percent, to $55.25.
The maker of resin clogs forecast profit of as much as 62 cents a
share in the third quarter. Analysts expect 43 cents, the average
of six estimates in a Bloomberg survey.

TREASURIES-Bonds rally on data slide, credit fears

(Reuters) - A sharp fall in new home sales and an unexpected slide in
business investment data spurred an already strong Treasury
market, overshadowing figures that showed overall durable goods

Stocks and credit markets sank on deepening concerns that a
global credit crunch was developing as firms encountered
difficulty in financing buyout activity, benefiting safe-haven
government bonds.

US STOCKS-NYSE imposes trading curbs as stocks tumble

(Reuters) - The New York Stock Exchange Composite Index , which
is used to determine when to begin trading curbs, was down
205.45 points, or 2.07 percent, at 9,724.47.




The trading curbs require that all program selling of S&P
500 stocks must be on an up-tick.

US STOCKS-Indexes sink on housing, oil, credit fears

(Reuters) - NEW YORK, July 26 - U.S. stocks tumbled on
Thursday on signs of further deterioration in the U.S. housing
market, a jump in oil prices and a worsening climate for
financing corporate takeovers.




The broad Standard & Poor's 500 stock index fell 2 percent
at one point, and the steep decline led the New York Stock
Exchange to impose trading curbs which restrict large-block
sales when a stock was falling.

CORRECTION: Wall St set for slide on oil, housing, credit

(Reuters) - NEW YORK - Stocks headed for a sharply lower open on Thursday as worries about a rise in oil prices, housing slump and worsening climate for financing corporate takeovers drove a global sell-off in shares.




U.S. crude for September rose to $77.24 in electronic trade, stoking concern about the toll of higher energy prices on personal spending as consumers grapple with a stalled housing market.

TREASURIES-Bonds dip as stocks seen to rebound

(Reuters) - NEW YORK, July 25 - U.S. Treasury debt prices fell on
Wednesday, pulling benchmark yields back from seven-week lows as
investors prepared for a stock market rebound in the wake of
Tuesday's slide.




Stock futures pointed to a strong opening on Wall Street,
luring money away from safe-haven bonds, while the government's
upcoming auction of two-year notes later in the session could put

AMR, Barr, DSP Group, Hasbro, Netflix, Old Dominion: U.S. Equity Movers

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares are having unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges.

AMR Corp. (AMR US) rose $1.74, or 6.5 percent, to $28.37. A
Goldman, Sachs & Co. analyst boosted his earnings estimates for
the parent company of American Airlines for this year and 2008
based on lower projections for fuel prices. Analyst Robert Barry
increased his 2007 profit estimate to $2.75 from $2.35, and his
2008 forecast to $4 from $2.65. He raised his share-price
forecast to $26 from $22.

AMR rises after Goldman Sachs ups target

(Reuters) - Barry raised the share price target to $26 from $22, although AMR shares were trading at $28.01 on the New York Stock Exchange in late morning trade.




He linked the higher target to an assumption that the price of jet fuel will fall relative to price of crude oil in the fourth quarter of 2007 and all of 2008.

Copper Stockpiles Fall Most in a Month in London; Nickel Inventories Gain

(Bloomberg) -- Copper stockpiles monitored by the
London Metal Exchange rose the most in more than a month.

Inventories of copper gained 2,725 metric tons, or 2.8
percent, to 101,400 tons, the exchange said today in a daily
report. That's the largest one-day increase since June 21.
Stockpiles have fallen 45 percent this year.

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies

Amgen Inc. (AMGN US): The company's anemia drugs will be
restricted at high doses for patients on kidney dialysis
treatment, according to a statement from the U.S. health program
for the elderly and disabled. The policy will provide greater
restrictions on dosages when a patient's level of hemoglobin
exceeds 13 grams per deciliter of blood, the Medicare agency
said. The stock rose 61 cents to $56.18 in regular trading.

(Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may rise or fall
in German markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses after the

Germany's X-DAX Index fell 1.7 percent to 7841.57. The index
provides an estimate of the DAX Index, based on trading in DAX
futures after the Xetra electronic market closes. The DAX dropped
1.5 percent to 7874.85 on the Xetra electronic-trading system.
