Vattenfall Prolongs Maintenance Shutdown by Six Days at Forsmark Reactor

(Bloomberg) -- Vattenfall AB, the Nordic region's
biggest utility, said its Forsmark B2 nuclear reactor will be
shut down for maintenance work six days longer than previously
reported.

The reactor, with a maximum capacity of 1,000 megawatts,
will be off until Aug. 23 instead of Aug. 17, Forsmark Kraftgrupp
AB said today in a statement distributed by the Nord Pool ASA
power exchange. The Forsmark nuclear plant is located on Sweden's
east coast, north of Stockholm.

UPDATE 2-Atlas Copco posts record Q2, lifts capacity

(Reuters) - STOCKHOLM, July 16 - Compressor and machinery
maker Atlas Copco reported better-than-expected
quarterly pretax earnings on Monday and said it would raise
manufacturing capacity to meet strong demand.




The Sweden-based firm posted record pretax earnings of 3.22
billion Swedish crowns , compared with 2.20
billion crowns a year ago and a mean forecast of 2.88 billion in
a Reuters poll of analysts.

UPDATE 1-Sony Ericsson quarterly sales, profit rise

(Reuters) - The cell phone venture of Sweden's Ericsson and
Japan's Sony Corp. , known for higher-end music
phones based on its Walkman brand, said it gained market share
in the quarter by selling lower priced phones that widened its
potential customer base.




Its report came shortly after bigger rival Motorola Inc.
forecast a quarterly loss, blaming weak phone sales.

Saab, Investor AB, Volvo and Fluegger Shares: Preview of Nordic Equities

(Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may rise or
fall in Nordic markets. Stock symbols follow company names and
prices are from the last close.

Markets in Finland and Sweden were closed June 22 for the
Midsummer holiday. Denmark's Copenhagen OMX 20 Index fell 1
percent to 480.88, while Norway's OBX Index declined 0.5 percent
to 421.96. Iceland's ICEX 15 Index rose 0.6 percent to 8236.83.
